On February 26, Baby Mauss is due to arrive! He (or she) is currently 11 weeks old and has been growing strong since he entered this world. We are amazed and humbled at the miracle God has chosen to bless us with and we are trustful in His Divine Providence during the course of the development of our child. We simply cannot believe the awesome gift in being co-creators with God and we thank Him for our child.
From the moment we discovered we were pregnant, we were struck by the fact that God has known our child, even before the foundation of this world. Here is an excerpt from a Psalm close to our hearts:
…you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
There is much to write about from these past few months, however, we conclude this joyful news with a few thoughts we’d like to share. First of all, we want our baby to know, even now, how much he is loved. We have prayed for his health and holiness even before we were married. He is a miracle, for many reasons, and we consecrate him to God – following whatever plan He has for our baby’s life.
And, finally, we ask for your prayers. We place everything in God’s hands and we ask you to pray for the safety of our baby and for us to have the strength and wisdom to be good parents. We are excited for what is ahead of us and we know that this is the beginning of a road we’re blessed to travel down.
