Today begins an important call to action. In just 9 days we will face one of the, if not the, most important election in our lifetime. Now, I'm not telling you who you should vote for, however I am begging that you will see the weight of who will be in office and the incredible impact he will have on lives for many many years to come.

I truly view this election, like many things in our culture, as a spiritual battle. We are facing a battle between the culture of life and the culture of death. For a long time I have felt on my heart that if we obtain and maintain a moral culture God will provide for the economic and physical aspects of it. It is extremely important to look upon the past as an indication of our future as a nation. Take mighty mighty Rome for example. In Christ's day, Rome was the epicenter. It held wealth, power, and was the greatest authority in the land. However, Rome was pagan. God held no part. Rome was viewed as the "Titanic." Yet, because of it's immorality, God allowed this nation to fall. (Luckily it was rebuilt and is now the epicenter of our holy Catholic Church.) Take Sodom and Gomorrah as another example. Homosexuality, lust, an utter defiance of God. This city fell.

We are not unlike these "great" and mighty places. America is considered the most powerful nation in the world. Our economy, until recent days, has been unmatched. We have a philosophy of freedom and liberty and the ability to reach our fullest potential as human beings. Yet, God is not a disinterested spectator to the affairs of our nation. We were founded on Christian ideals and I truly believe our blessings as a nation have come from the times we, as a nation, have turned towards Him. But what I find scary is a benevolence to the same God that we call on in tough times. There will come a point, if we do not turn around, that God will allow our free will to destroy us.

If we do not soon stop the genocide of abortion, the collapse of marriage, the means of sexuality outside God's plan, etc etc etc, in the United States, we, too, shall run the course of all those that prove by their actions that they are enemies of God—total collapse, economic, social, and national. We already see it beginning.

Once again, the moral demise of a nation results in the ultimate demise of a nation.

We must now be like Abraham and call upon God to have mercy on us. Even if there are only "100 faithful...40 faithful...30 faithful...20 faithful...or 2 faithful..." people in this country. For their sake and ours, may God truly have mercy on us.

And this brings us to action that we can take. I strongly urge every one of you to make a Novena and pray the Rosary to Our Lady of Victory between October 27th and Election Day, November 4th. Pray that God’s will be done and the most innocent and utterly vulnerable of our brothers and sisters will be protected - now and for the years to come.

Please join Michael and I and many of our friends who will be praying and sacrificing these coming days before the election. And, please, VOTE! Allow God to give us the miracle we so desperately need.
