Crazy Times in Spokane

For Mother's Day weekend we ventured to Spokane to spend time with awesome friends from college. All in all there were 12 adults and 12 kids under the age of 5 bunking together for the weekend. I literally didn't see Avila for 2 days because she was having so much fun playing with all the kids. We BBQ'd, went to the Riverfront, had "nursing fests" (given there were 5 babies nursing), went to Mass together (that was a sight), and had a great time. Here are some pictures from our trip...

Avila and her buddy, Clare (I think Avila looks like Elton John in those sunglasses...)

Above is the BEFORE photo of Avila going down the slide. Below is AFTER...her shoes got caught, she fell from about 10 feet up, and hit her mouth on the slide (luckily Michael was there to catch her!) A fat lip and bloody mouth later, she still wanted to go down it again!

The gang (minus the 5 members of the Oakland family)

most of the kids...we didn't wake the ones napping!

us girls - we all lived together in college. But of course we're missing from the picture Mary and Kate (and Erin!)

the kids were definitely worn out from the trip!
