Spokane

A couple weeks ago the kids and I ventured to Spokane to spend a week with the Mallahans. I have been heading over just about every fall and spring since they moved over there and my time spent with this amazing family always leaves me uplifted.

Isaac and Aidan spent their time showing Avila what it's going to be like having a brother - busy busy busy. She kept up pretty well and, as a result, definitely napped everyday (something lacking at home). They did art projects and skateboarded and watched Charlotte's Web a million times (LOVE that movie). She definitely missed her daddy and she learned that girls are definitely more emotional than boys...

Max and Owen were happy boys who spent their time sleeping and rolling around the house. Can't wait to see these best buds grow up together...

Cheri and I spent our time talking and reflecting about our roles as wives, mothers, educators, and caretakers of our family. We left the week recharged and with goals and great ideas to carry out over this coming year, especially in regards to our Mother's Rule of Life.

Here are some pictures from our week...

You got some great photos! We had so much fun. Aidan saw the photo of him and Avila hugging and said, "Avila's my best girl!"
