basement!

This post needs no other title. For those of you who know me, you know that the basement is the project I have been waiting for...it has literally been 4 years in the making. Just about every other project has pointed to the completion of this one. And we are getting close to the finish line!!!!! Blood (literally), sweat (literally), tears (literally), and lots of nights and weekends have been poured into the downstairs. And now that we are getting close to being done, I can't wipe the smile off my face. Knowing that we put every screw, every board, and every inch up ourselves brings a lot of pride (and money in our pockets, not having to hire it all out). While we still have a little bit to go, here are some pictures after our recent haul this past weekend. (Thanks, dad, for all your help!)

I know I have shown lots of before pictures, but I do have to give a reference point for how far we've come!

Wow Christine, you guys are amazing! It looks fantastic! We need to tackle our unfinished basement but we need contractors, so seeing you do it yourself is especially impressive!
